Driving OTR with US Xpress

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts, and your positive attitude and sense of acceptance to the hard times is a strong power of example for us all. I registered here just so I could tell you that. (Well, for the most part anyway )

I'm trying now to get on with US X, but am wondering if my recruiter lost interest or is perhaps out of the office. It's been three days since she expressed a strong interest, and all I told was true, so maybe I'll call her today and see what's up. I've got an itchy clutch knee ready to roll.

Keep calling them. They have a lot of people trying to get with them and sometimes you get lost in translation!

 

My trucking experience is primarily prior to 11/07, so the insurance industry's "6 or 12 months within 3 years experience" rule is all up on me.

Don't think US X is going to work out due to the above.

I don't blame US X.

I've talked to many dozens of fleet recruiters, and have settled on Heartland Express
for a number of reasons related to my needs and expectations hopefully aligning with theirs.
I start 02/04/13, but will keep this post short so as not to hijack from its US X origin.

Respectfully requesting a moratorium on negative responses to this choice.
