What? Didn't want to hear that. We are heading to Joppa, MD tomorrow from Laredo. Hope it's all done and gone by the time we get there.

6 days? Wow. This is why I've been putting off getting my DT screen replaced.

    Wedge Thanks this.

Satcom department would handle it if you go to THL. So you would bypass the regular service desk

Does Us Xpress do anything in the West or do they primarily stay East and East coast?

If you are from the east and run OTR, you'll stay east of I 35, but if you're lucky, you may get an occasional hop out west.

If you reside in the west, my guess is you'd run the western 11.

Coast to coast runs are left for the teams.

Anj8488 said it right. Satcomm issues will by-pass the normal repair desk. Had my DT screen replaced there about 4 weeks ago.

Hoped you missed the snow. I was driving through it but didn't stick around long enough to be affected by it.

When I dropped in Mt Vernon, I grabbed a Continental Tire run and headed to Laredo.

    Needed the heat.

    Hello There. :biggrin_25511:

I'm sitting in Jackson, TN tonight, waiting to pick up a P & G load tomorrow that goes to Webberville, MI. Paid miles on this trip: 818. Sounds good, but it picks up at noon and delivers Monday morning at 0730. I'd need to use that time machine we keep in Laredo to pull this one off.

No, we don't have a time machine in Laredo....

I told dispatch upfront that I couldn't make that run before I declined it. They agreed to set-up a re-power for me tomorrow. So at least I'll get about 450 miles out of the trip.

Last week pay settlement: 3,030 miles with only 2 trips. 1,080 mile trip from Mt Vernon, IL to Laredo, then a 1,950 mile trip with 5 stops from Laredo that ended in Auburn, NY. I'm not a big fan of stops but this one was fun. I was hauling New Holland tractors that were assembled in Mexico. Quick and easy to un-load: Pry up the blocking and drive them out of the trailer.

They were pretty cool, enclosed cab, A/C, PTO, hydro-static transmissions.

    I want one.:biggrin_255:

Been staying pretty busy. I've been out for about 4 1/2 weeks, and expect to stay out another 2. That week I spent in break down mode at Tunnel Hill cost me around $400 in lost wages. BD pay just doesn't make up for rolling this truck down the road.

On the up-side, there doesn't seem to be any let up on freight, not that I can see on this end. I should be around 2,000 miles by tomorrow night.

So it's pizza and a movie tonight: Heartbreak Ridge, starring Clint Eastwood.

.........I better save room for popcorn. :biggrin_25525:

    Thanks for reading.

    Gimme a "C"

    Gimme a "L"

    Gimme a "U"

    Gimme a "T"

    Gimme a "C"

    Gimme a "H"

    What's that spell?................. CLUTCH!

Throw-out bearing to be more specific. Started whining and grinding first thing when I left to pick up at Proctor and Gamble yesterday at noon. Got loaded up, but USX re-powered me with a team to make sure it delivered on time.

It's amazing how something that gets used only to stop and start could fail. Then again, all it would take is for a seal to fail, throw a couple hundred degrees of temperature at it for a bunch of hours............toast.

Of course, the jury's still out. They haven't brought it into the shop yet, but that's my diagnosis. I know what a bad T-O bearing feels like.

    DANG! :biggrin_25510:

Why this happens when I'm finally trying to work my way home escapes me. Besides losing the load, 2 pre-assignments went down the tubes as well.

Hey....maybe I can get Freightliner to pay me for loss of income....lol. :biggrin_2559:

It's just one of those things that happens. Make 100,000 of something, at least 5% are likely to fail.

I just hate being in that small percentile group.

I'll let you know what they say.

    Thanks for reading.

I did miss the snow. Had a PM done in Irving last week. I opted out of getting my screen fixed because it would have taken 3 days there. They sent me to Speedco for the PM. I was out of there in less than an hour. I'll deal with it the next time I get to TH.

I'm surprised I still have a clutch after all these students.
