    Adventure...........good word.

I'll be sure to let you know if that word is applicable, or if I need to substitute some other adjective.

    Hello There. :biggrin_25511:

    Well that was exciting.

Shut down at a the TA in London, OH with 30 seconds left on the e-logs. Never made it to the Springfield terminal.

It always seems, to me anyways, that when ever time is of the essence, night-time guards are at their slowest. That's when they decide it's time to have a conversation........ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz. Thank goodness it was a D & H. I would have been calling for a tow truck.

I was dispatched yesterday with a run from Hebron, KY that would have brought me back to GA but.......2 engine lights came on. Lucky for me I was approaching the exit for the Springfield terminal so I stopped in for a visit..........gggrrrrr.

Having been there under repair for a week I received the high priority treatment. The truck was brought in immediately. They decided a forced regen was needed. And sure, it made the lights go off.

In short, I lost the load to get me back east. Instead, I got a load that picked up in Hebron, KY that delivered in Woodbridge, IL, just outside of Chicago.

Guess what happed on my way north? You're right.......engine lights came back on........guess that regen wasn't the solution.......huh?

So here I sit in Markham, doing laundry, watching students come and go, waiting for any word on my Dixie. I spoke to the service manager and to the terminal manager about this truck. I'm hoping this will be resolved shortly.

I am no longer overly attached to Frankenstein........sorry bro.

So I'll let you know what happens.

    Thanks for reading.

I do have a student. He finished his orientation on Friday. He even bought a USX hat and shirt......lol.

I'm scheduled to pick him up as soon as I get back to GA. He's a family friend (his parents are our neighbors), so my first adventure might be less than entertaining, but you never know.

He requested me as a trainer 2 weeks ago after I recruited him away from Swift (he had 2 bad trainers in a row, so he quit). USX didn't have a problem with it.

Unfortunately I've been delayed here at Markham because of truck breakdown issues.

Speaking of which, Frankenstein has been deemed unfix-able (by Markham terminal), and was transferred to a Freightliner dealer in Gary, IN. I've been re-seated into a '12 Cascadia. It needed a fair amount of work but they really put a big effort into it, so I could roll out Monday morning. With a little luck, I can still make it home on-time.

    Jump ball question:

Does anyone remember what happened to the monster in the original Frankenstein movie starring Boris Karloff? How did it end? I saw that movie over 50 years ago. I don't recall the monster's fate........actually I don't recall to much of any of it.............must be a time limit on memory storage.

If no one knows I'll have to go buy it and watch it again.........

..........even if someone does know I'll most likely still buy it.......rated the #3 scariest movie of all time.

I used to drive for Domino's in Olive Branch, MS, and I have delivered food to many US Xpress drivers there. Comparing my experience with US Xpress drivers, Knight Transportation drivers, Heartland Express drivers, and Swift Transportation drivers (after I started driving for Domino's in Memphis), about 90% of the US Xpress drivers I've delivered to were angry and looking for someone to lash out at. The other companies I mentioned had some pretty cool drivers, especially Swift. It makes me wonder how US Xpress treats their employees. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Is their crappy attitude something that just varies from terminal to terminal?
