It depends more to me on where Im driving. If Im on the interstate, I like driving at night. You get the occasional car or truck & dont feel so alone. If Im on a 2 lane rural highway at night, I dont want anybody else out there. Either people leave their brights on, or they have those god awful blue headlights. So, I guess Interstate, night. Hwy, day

Well, there's more drunks and sleepy drivers at nite and more of a chance of hitting stuff in the road including deer. I prefer day driving.

How come they haven't outlawed those super bright blue headlamps?

I like day driving because of the better visibility. Its not a big deal if ive been to a place before but when im going into somewhere new its nice to be able to see everything. (i also dont like having headlights constantly in my mirrors)

All of your shippers and receivers are open during the day as well.

I like to get going at about 5-6am and try to shutdown before it get too hard to find a parking spot.

I prefer night if I have a 1000+ mile load, just for an easier trip. Daytime brings out the crazy four-wheelers that barely can remember the proper way to drive.

I look at my route and try and plan for rush hour if I'm heading through a big city. That being said I normally try and get an early start so I can be done before the truckstops fill up
