I have a 75 in a 55 on my personal comes off my 3 year in July 2012.
Already checked with Gordon they said that disqualifies me. I am in trucking school self paid and looking around for options. Who will give
a guy a chance with that infraction but nothing else on the chart?

It may come off in 2012 but most driving applications will ask about the last 10 years and they will check. Not pissing on your parade but FYI. Did the driving school ask you about your driving record and warn you about this?
OregonJoe Thanks this. -
Yes and I didnt know that. Well took all my tests today passed everything for the writtens. I am thinking this speeding ticket is going to hose me and I may be barking up the wrong tree...

Yes I told the school and they told me it will disqualify me from some jobs but there is some smaller trucking companies that will make an exception. On the other hand I am not against just being an owner operator. Drove 10 years ago but got out the game and built a business that is now suffering due to the economy so looking at trucking as a replacement income source.

I got popped back in 2004 for running 86mph in a 55. Then I had a running a red light ticket also. Nothing after that and Star Transport out of Morton, Illinios put me into a truck and sent me on my way. To this day I have never had a ticket since 2004. 3 years after the 31mph over ticket I got the job with Star. Good luck and I know for a fact you can get on somewhere....
OregonJoe Thanks this. -
Volvo thanks for the wisdom. I know I will find a home. Not banned for life I am sure but I am doing my research and tire kickin the landscape is what I am doing. I do appreciate all feedback.

Good luck Joe, you have the right attitude. A smaller trucking company may be the way to start and you may be doing yourself a favor avoiding the mega carriers. -
I am checking all options before I am ready to jump in the pond. I really like this site and the drivers here helps to get feedback and get the inside scoop...... thanks JOE

As much as I hate to suggest this, check CRST, they took me and I had a very similar situation.
Maverick might as well.
Main thing is make sure that you give them the complete story with all information, BEFORE going to any orientation. If not you will most likely get dropped off at a bus station to go home.
