My school gave me a copy of it. It says driving record clear. Someone on this forum said that just because it says clear doesn't mean that the reckless op wouldn't show up, so I'll try and straighten things out tomorrow hopefully. Next app I fill out I'll just explain the situation on the app
-
Actually HotH2o your the one I'm referencing lol
-
be honest. i had a horrible driving record in my teen years (under age dui among lesser offences) nothing EVER shows up 12 years later and 9 out of ten times i've applied for a company i heard "thank you for being honest, can you come in next week?"
-
Hell yeah, that's cool. I did mention it in all my pre-hires then my school gave me the impression well if it's not on your record then why mention it? I'm not a liar so that's why with this recent app it's been weighing on my mind tonight so I'm going to try and clear it up.

get a lifetime copy of your mvr. if your state offers that. you'll find your not so clean after all.
if the job your applying for only wants 3 years, then your golden.
my guess, is, only the megas investigate you clear back to when you were born.
i don't tell anyone about my dui. if it's asked. most times they only want 3 years. very seldom to they go back 10 years. but even so. mine is 20 years now. it's also been expunged. even the military bases can't find it.
lifetime mvr is the only way anyone will see it. or my dac. to which i don't apply with companies that use it. so no bigger. -
because that's grounds for instant termination if you get caught. anything can happen i'd rather be honest and get told no then to lie and have it on the back of my mind.

i was told by the lady that handles all the applications at my school that the majority of starter companies use hireright and a lifelong mvr was never asked from me and i literally applied to 57 companies in 2 weeks before, and during the 3 weeks of training. every company is different though.
here's hireright's page if you get nosy: http://www.hireright.com/Trucking-Background-Checks.aspx -
Thanks people. I'm going to try and check my mvr right now
-
they don't ask you for your lifetime mvr. they just automatically pull it up. you just have to sign the permission slip for a copy of your mvr. it don't specify how long they will go back.
there's also a permission slip, usually, for employment verification. and background.
i don't need to get nosy about my dac. already have my copy.
