so i see in your other posts that you are going union. good for you and good luck.

 

The only thing that makes me nerves with union is being a casual and if I dont get enough hours.I cant afford to wait,mortgage, bills kids starting to graduate 08,09,10. I'm told to look at the big picture but was also told if I go on the road for a yr or 2 then union that would be good also because I'll have the experience.

 

thats true. i found out from a ups/motor cargo driver friday that ups is going to buy conway out in the first of the year. when they do aquire us, they will be going union. i won't believe any of it until it happens.

 

I'm going to contact the conway TM again about part time dock work while I'm in school. My unemployment runes out at the end of FEB.

 

Anybody know anything about Conway in Des Plaines. I'm going in for drug test, sounds like decent place. I have CDL A permit and worked docks for Yellow for about 3 years.
