Hey Jamie414 , i know this is an old thread but did you ever get into a mixer? I drive for superior, its a great job and they are always hiring. Great pay (each plant pays different, im at the lakeside plant in mt clemens) and its a teamsters local. Let me know if your still looking to get in, i could steer you in the right direction.

I only drove the Mack ready mix truck w/ bride-master. I always wanted to drive one of the front end trucks but we didn't have any

Not sure, but I think you guys drive the same trucks as us right? (11yd Oshkosh or Advance)? We haul 8inch full loads, no issues. Just gotta take it easy and leave a ton of space in between you and the car ahead of you. When we haul flowable fill or pipe grout (10+ inch) we can only take 6yds at a time because it's like hauling chocolate milk. But even then it's all about how you drive. Can't say I've NEVER spilt hitting the brakes too quick, it happens to the best of us when just starting off.....but the fact that you were hauling a 7in shouldn't be an issue. Hope you don't get screwed on the ticket. Good luck man.

    Jamie414 and chopper103in Thank this.

Front end mixers are nice man. Way easier to operate than a rear

get a lawyer, don't defend yourself.
as far as hauling a 7" slump, you know how loose that is, you should turn the drum faster is charge, drive slower and leave more space so you don't have to any panic stops

    good luck in court

    Jamie414 Thanks this.
