Charlie do you have a small stick stuck in a big pot trying to stir a lot of stuff ?
This guy is just trying to get home and does not want any problems. You are quoting regulations for transporting migrant workers in a trailer.
Beards ag transportation mileage has been discussed, check it out.
If he can X brace the load bars but there should be no concerns in less running in cross winds.
The doors in article 7 are for not allowing people to come and go, fall out, while being transported.
Bear: Rock on!
Charlie: I just mean to respectfully disagree. People on this sight can get hammered and I have been there. Talking in person and on line here is different. When you put it out there it is out and you can not make it go away.
Ag not allowed over 75 miles? I believe we can go 150 miles past any state line hauling our own stuff.
I have personally jumped to answering questions without due consideration and revue. Trying not to and so should everyone else.
Driving with a missing door?

I've driven maybe 20-30 ml like that.
But 600 can't imagine, I was already nervous.
Turns out for nothing. Don't think the door moved from where I put it inside the trailer. -
I did not imply it was a Farm truck, I inferred it. He said he was "returning to the farm". You even said so yourself. That, by definition is a migrant worker.
-
I do not think a missing door should be a problem. I see drivers with a missing brain everyday and that is a problem.
-
Not at all,

I'm just trying to help the guy out with the question he came on here looking for help for.
The doors in article 7 refer to (This is from article 2, applicability)
"...any vehicle, machine, tractor, trailer, or semitrailer propelled or drawn by mechanical power and used upon the highways in the transportation of passengers or property, or any combination thereof."
I understand respectfully disagreeing, no worries. You gotta understand I'm currently in a very good CDL School & have been studying the #### out of the green book (regulations) for weeks & (not trying to brag) but have more 100% scores on tests (including regs) then anyone else at the school. Laws change every month. I currently have the January '16 edition & I ask A LOT of questions when I don't know the answers.
Just trying to help a brother out. -
I work out of a farm, don't haul farm stuffs. Does that make me a migrant worker? I didn't look at any links. It's Friday and I'm running on fumes.
Along with that, I tell my wife I'm returning to the farm. Do you think she thinks I'm a migrant worker based off of what I said?

BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
You do realize he is NOT transporting migrant workers, right? So your link is pointless and unneeded. This would apply if Giantbeard was driving a bus or whatever that can hold passengers. That whole link is about transporting passengers. Not a single part about frieght.BoxCarKidd Thanks this.

Colorado, when I grow up, I hope to be like you.
Anyways, if we're gonna stir the pot, I may as well do this: @Pedigreed Bulldog
Muahahaha.... -
Nothing to laugh about, Back in 2005 I almost hit a door that came off a trailer in Virginia, the car behind me hit it and did a lot of damage to the car.
I know you don't have to worry about that but if you are loaded, get the **** thing fixed, because if you get stopped, it is a violation and doesn't matter what the FMCSA regs say, the enforcement officer will cite you under state laws.
I'm curious, you are running commercial non-farm stuff as a farm vehicle? -
Now why you gotta go draggin' me into this?
