Am I the only one who finds it annoying driving empty/lightly loaded trailers? I find that when my trailer is empty it's bouncing all over the #### road and gets pushed around with the wind quite a bit. I liken it to swerving in my own lane trying to keep it straight. But yet again my tractor allignment is pretty bad so I feel like that could be a factor.
Any tips on controlling an empty trailer better?

    Oldironfan and TravR1 Thank this.

I would be interested in hearing what experienced drivers have to say about pulling empties like you.

I frequently pull and empty often where I am assigned to right now. I find it makes more noise as it bounces around on the road. Also it blows over easier so I am always paranoid driving through adverse weather conditions. It rocks a bit more, but nothing I have noticed that ever alarmed me too much.

No issues controlling it really, just that it makes more noise and it rocks a bit more, otherwise it follows me like it should. But yeah empties can be a bit of a mind trick for me.

Glad to see I am not the only one.

You're greedy. Get a Volvo. You won't care what you're pulling.

Yes, empty trailers are effected more by crosswinds. There have been times when the winds and gusts were so high I had to slow way down. After a while one learns to deal with it. Just slow down.

My company doesn't use them. I wonder if they help or hurt with wind.

When I’m empty I set the camera off more. Tap the brakes and the camera thinks u just had a critical event.
