Not korea specifically. What happened was in the mid 90's for a few months we ran war freight from the depots towards the ports for a number of weeks all of it to Korea. One day their dear leader dropped dead and I was back to hauling grocery.

I apologize for not expanding on Korea, it was a time of many miles each week money hand over fist and not much sleeping. A profitable time to be sure in that season. Depots were east of the Miss River. And freight went south and or east.

Bottom line for the topic on this thread, sleeping and driving after when rested is best always. If you drove sleepy it's worse than driving drunk. Even today if we had a long day in Little Rock or something or other, we would cut it short and go home. Get the rest of it another day.

Vitamin B12 and four bee pollen tablets. You'll be wide awake. Unless you're allergic to bee pollen.

That was portrayed exactly in the movie "Hoffa". The movie "Hoffa" is a must see for every truck driver. It was another 5 star performance by Jack Nicholson. I'm not a big Danny Devito fan, but he was #### good in it, too.

Rest and sleep are two different things.
You can rest all you want , but without proper sleep your not safe behind the wheel.

I don't do it and have made it 28 years .
You just got to be man/ woman enough to stand up for yourself.
That flipping schedules bs is one of the largest contributions to fatigued driving.

Even though I was told never to teach my body it was ok to sleep at wheel , by doing this it will.
That said, one night I did pull in behind another truck crossed my arms over the wheel and woke up bout an hour later and just about had a heart attack as I was trying to put the brake pedal through the fire wall. Lol
Yep awoke to trailer lights from the truck I pulled in behind thought I was a dead man, Roflmao.
