Dropping and hooking is, in my opinion, not that exciting. Cranking down the gear and unhooking is the part of the job I dislike the most.
17 deg wind blowing drop n hook frozen brakes... Or 110 degrees hard to crank gear... Or 4hrs live detention you get 30 bucks and a bad week lost a day 200.00...
Hooking into trailers with bad tires, bad brakes, bad lights, door won't open door won't close, no registration, no mudflap, side skirt falling off, reefer won't run, reefer won't shut off, reefer won't cool, somebody stole the reefer fuel and $200,000 load of produce is rotting inside, air leaks, oil hub leaks, no license plate, holes in the roof leaking rain on the product. Spend wayy too much time fixing trailers instead of hauling freight.
