    how much does it cost to install a Hendrickson 13K drop axle steerable on a trailer?? How much do they weigh??
    Can any trailer take one??

    Hand you have a disaster in the making. The frame won't hold it. They do frames for a reason. 13 + 20 + 20 is 53K Stress it puts on the frame. It will work for awhile.

    if you're looking to do a heavy frame flat, they're about $10-12 grand installed. They do them on vans here in Canada with heavy crossmembers and a subframe from the rear bogies to the 3rd (or 4th) axle. Done properly they work well.
