Tires are 255-70-22.5 and we (mechanic) checked the trailer everything is OK .dump valve is working fine. Load was put on 1' short of the drop 29' steel rods end up just behind the front axle I could perhaps put it against the drop would it make the difference? I do this load weekly base with my flatbed and newer had this problem.

I apologize! You are right about Cat scale not split weighting trailer axles. When they 1st started years ago they did,but not today. My guess is the neck of your trailer is really sagging when loaded. The answer for that is to have someone rearch the neck and or the whole trailer. I've seen people like Obrecht(Knox,In.) bolt steel straps to the bottom of the beam for added strength. But then you get the corrsion between the steel & aluminum. Call East and see what they suggest. You could try lowering the leveling valve adjustment so that front axle isn't fighting the rear axle. I have done this with heavy pieces and it does work.

    TURKER Thanks this.

Sounds like you have a leveling valve problem. That back axle should be inflating itself higher than the front axle to take weight off it. You cam get CAT to split weigh. I did this a few months ago to check to make sure my leveling valve was working properly. I did have to go inside and explain what I wanted and they would not certify the weight. You'll find getting weight on the drives can be a real pain sometimes as many people have commented on the inability for the neck to transfer weight to the drives. What makes it even more fun is going to California and having to slide that axle. Glad I got onboard scales now because I was loading in the "blind" before trying to make sure I only put 34k on the rears loading out of Cali. Actually got a $2405.00 present from AZ one day because I forgot to spread em coming out of CA. Picked up a container and didn't weigh (first mistake), got green lighted on an open CA scale on I10. Passed the FlyingJ in Ehrenberg and should've pulled in to spread just for good measure but didn't (second mistake). Got red lighted at the scale 39k on rears but not over gross. Apparently AZ don't let you have one chance to get it right before they ticket.

Which axle is your leveling valve on?
