I misread your post but we got to the same place.
When I hauled tanks on a step(at 15'6" high and 48' or 50' tall) or on my double drop (13'8"high 12' w 25' tall) the lifting lugs were rough-cut 1" and my slip-hooks where tip loading until I started using 6.5 ton shackles in the lugs.

Surveys: how far in advance of doing a load should I have one done?

The small valve on the right dumps your air, if you move the big valve on the left with the right valve in the deflate position it’ll max out your air ride.

Nevermind..... I was gonna post something about this valve and why it only really works when I’m empty or real light.

I was gonna wait until I’m empty to post some pictures of it. If I get high centered somewhere this valve is suppose to air up the rear so I can get out of a jam at slow speed..... it only works when I’m empty. However, right now I’m loaded. If I go back and flip the switch and dump all the air then flip the switch back off... it will air up and return to normal ride height. After that if I attempt to raise it... it ain’t happening!!

Do I need a new stronger leveling valve?

I’m actually gonna play with it this weekend when I get empty....

It’s never going to raise up as high loaded as it does empty. If you would put an air gauge on it then flip it to override it would inflate to what ever your regulator is set at (should be 90 psi). There isn’t a different “strength” leveling valve, it’s controlled by the regulator.

I had a valve installed that allows me to raise/lower the tide height without crawling under the trailer. I was at 79980 lbs yesterday with an MRAP and put the valve on the highest setting and it raised all the way up no problem
