Yea thats what I thought but, it only releases the air when I have air running through it with my trailer brakes pressed in... So I'm confused at what point during the process do I pull that pin and push that button in.....

Here is the process I would use when I pulled mechanical

Dump the air from tractor and trailer

Drop the. Trailer on the ground and pull out so the rollers are off your ramps and neck sags down - leave the neck over the ramps but not touching

Pull the horizontal lever (with the spring)

Pull the pin release knob out

Disconnect air and electrical lines on the neck

Back under neck - connecting the king pin in the fifth wheel

Put Block under the neck on the frame(the block should take nearly all the space) - this holds up the neck

Air up the tractor and pull out with the neck on the tractor slowly - get out and check that the block is holding the neck up high enough and not slipping out

    Hope this helps

Remember you will not be the first to drop the neck

You need to unhook your king pin and drop the trailer on the ground, that'll take the pressure off the lock pin and dowel pins.

Yes his you pulled the horseshoes a pulled the dogbones off the dowels, your dowels have to retract somehow. When you drop the trailer on the ground you have to be able to hook back to it and have the neck lift up

After the airlines are disconnected from the neck. Or has that already been covered?

The lock control uses air from the red supply line, if you pull the red valve you lose supply air to that valve.
