Dropping neck on mechanical DD

    nope...the neck locks back without air

    Yes, it will LOCK without air. Im saying you have to have air to UNLOCK the cylinder when it's time to detach the neck. That's what the air chamber on top is for.

    Ok gotcha....... So I did have to pull forward a tad with air running to it.

    Ok ok...... I missed this post.... so no need for the lines on the neck from deck to be hooked up at all during the process!!

    Make sure the safety latch pull handle on the air cylinder is in the correct position. It needs to be unlocked so the pin will drop and lock.

    And if not the weight of the neck will push the lock pin up and sheer the safety pin off. Or so I've uh heard.
