Never have I slept on the shoulder, interstate or otherwise.
I have slept on a ramp many times.
I've also got out and did jumping jacks, did laps around the truck.
I've pinched myself and slapped myself.
I've poured water in my eyes, chewed gum, opened the windows and cranked up bad music.
I've drank coffee, energy drinks and water in an attempt to snap out of it.
Used to call it white line fever where you see the sign for the town that's 10 miles out and 20 minutes later you realize you don't recall it, you went thru it sleeping.
In lieu of crashing ..literally, I can see pulling off on the shoulder but only to shake it off and get somewhere safeSnailexpress, x1Heavy, tscottme and 3 others Thank this. -
"Bummer Dude"
"Christ Dude, get a life"
"rules are meant to be broken"
If you were looking to add something credible to the post, you ruined all of that with your enlightening use of the English language.
Either that or you were hard pressed for a fight.....LoSt_AgAiN, x1Heavy, FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this. -

I guess your post makes me realize what i call the shoulder is probably what everyone else calls the ramp. I sleep on the shoulder of the ramp all the time in states that dont mind it, as do hundreds of other trucks in the lane i run. I didnt mean the shoulder of the actual interstate.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
