Why in the literal #### would you take a job like that? You are not forced to work like that, there are a million jobs in and out of the trucking industry that won't make you do that. That is 100% your fault for putting up with that ####. Sounds like it's time for a new job buddy.

that's cuz i did my time in the earlier years and moved into a different segment that did not require me to stay on the road, and have quality and quantity time at home, watching the kids grow up, and not be an absentee father....and you..???

again, if a trucker cannot find a place to sleep in safety away from the road, it's all HIS fault for not planning his route more, and just "rolling the dice" that he will find a spot, or be an irritant and "make a spot"....

many if not all you drivers, CREATED this mess you have to deal with...now live with it, with-in the confines of legalities of the laws and rules about parking...whether it be in truckstops, rest areas or parking lots of wally world...

not make a spots fools and block others in, or create more anarchy for others.

i dunno, those straps seem light weight to me...i cannot imagine a 300+ pounder staying up much for long.

Decades of abuse of the system, ignorant & intollerant people who look down their nose at others caused the mess many drivers have to suffer with in today's industry. Also the absolute lack of common sense and lack to think for ones self is a huge factor.

The sole fact that you can't even seem to understand or care to understand about people doing this almost thankless job that you did for several decades is just...wrong. Maybe try being part of the solution, give some guidance. Not just "follow all the rules all the time. Never question anyone".

Or were you one of the guys I see who walks around in full safety gear inside the truck stop?
