Play nice, y'all. I TAKE MY 30'S AT HOME when I'm tired and hungry..and sometimes stretch it for a nap. No I don't have a hammock. Thought not bad, tho.buddyd157, 88 Alpha and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
I have one. 8 years old. I'll do better than pm you. Upsjobs.com
Your welcome
There is no food service where you live, no restaurants getting deliveries? FedEx freight doesn't service your area? That's a kick ### job. No trash trucks? I hear those guys can do pretty well too. Nobody gets fuel oil or propane delivery? No ltl companies either? Everyone makes everything they need in house? Where does your current job get their supplies? Where do you get your truck serviced? They get deliveries of parts right?

@88 Alpha ... i'm trying to tone it down here. It took me TEN YEARS to find my niche', y'all. Did OTR for six, Vactor Rollofs for 4, then 'intrastate' tanks in HELLUVA sweet fleet of Petes, asphalt hauling (until the boss' wife divorced him; and I tried to buy the fleet...but didn't) << he's a one man show now; we keep in touch.
And THEN I found my 'sweet spot' .. Can come home daily, nightly, break time, anytime. Their Mack, my runs. Never all the same; great money and happy. Took me SUPER long to get here.....we all work our way UP (or over) differently. Initially, I took a paycut after the asphalt (and flatbed in winter) gig 'went away.' Well, I'm back to the same, with more sleep and offtime and leniency, tbh.tucker, x1Heavy, 88 Alpha and 1 other person Thank this. -
My current employer is helping me move my machine shop 990 miles one way. That is the ONLY reason i drive truck. When its moved im done.
On a run right now that brings back another load of mine. If i have to hand load every rock to get that equipment moved and set up for my kids before they discover the meth business, you can bet your ### i will.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
I've CLIMBED rocks myself. Look at Moritz Concrete in / and or near my locale. I did that on OFF months when I was hauling asphalt, and my precast was jacked up. I get it man, I do. It takes SO much of being a man to hang on and help the kids that society wants to suffocate. I finally got my OWN machine shop in MY barn, from the bottom up...and I'm closer to six ot then the prior.
Just so ya know....THIS song....reminds me of how hard I worked at the concrete place, to MAKE it for my son. He was but 4 back then......I've fingerprinted a LOT of rocks myself.
Yep, a sappy old'er guy. This was always dedicated to MY SON.

Why would you want to “solve” this if you’re OTR?
I guess I just think there are better things to do than involve myself in an argument or spend any time trying to settle it. As is you’re either driving, sleeping, or spending quality time either with some one or some thing.... surely this forum would be towards the bottom of that list. -
b) it intrigues me, what these guys are missing...if anything...
c) maybe it would just be a 'jigsaw' puzzle?
d) I think the last answer beat the band so maybe I have nothing to offer.
d) It's not an argument, it's a juxtiposition... of sorts. Ask @x1Heavy
e) Maybe I could have done it differently . intrigue.
f) be safe. I'm Intrastate and my daycab twin screw eaton 10 is in my barn.
