Maybe he just wants to know if its urine, blood or hair and maybe just maybe he has a friend that is a little shady and its the friend that wanted him to ask.
I understand that most people (99%) that ask that question have something to hide but there is other possibilities for that question to be asked.

So you actually registered here just to ask the question for a friend, when your friend could have done just that?

    Why?

    :biggrin_2556:

So, go back and tell your 'friend' that the drug test for any company will test for any drugs that are illegal to use while driving a CMV.

If your 'friend' has any of these drugs in his/her system, then that expensive school will have been a huge waste of time and $$$.

It doesn't matter what kind of testing they do. They drug test and will find out if you smoked pot in the past 30 days. Some think, oh a hair test, they'll be able to test a year ago. No, they cut about 1 inch from the root to represent a certain time frame and that's what they test if they do that.

Besides all that, there's a lot more to driving an 80,000 lb vehicle among a bunch of crazy 4-wheelers than you think. It's a highly regulated safety sensitive job. There is no room for drugs in this profession. If you think you can beat the system.... wrong!

Just what the trucking industry needs: more drug abusers. you want a few beers to wash down your pills? then you can smoke some weed to calm yourself down before that long drive.

The hair test extends the detection window to roughly three months. I'm an advocate of the hair follicle test. It's my opinion that if you can't go 3 months without 'smoke', then it's highly likely that you'll be operating the vehicle while under the influence of same.

If so he is fine to get hired but health insurance will deny him.... Experience and this includes HGH, Creatine, and sometime ephedrine depending on the company they also might deny hiring you for ephedrine reguardless of you explain it's for cutting water weight or not. They dont want healthy drivers that work out or lazy overweight drivers, just the naturally average ones

If you don't have any body hair (pubes, chest, arm hair), you'll look suspicious. If you have a legitimate reason for not having any hair on your body, like alopecia, you'll probably need a doctor's note to explain yourself.
