If you have been on this board like you say you would have seen the reference that answers your question. Go look up FMCSR §40.85 What drugs do laboratories test for. It that simple.

    Indeed.

Not to get OT here... but, I heard that many employers do credit checks on their potential employees. I was wondering about that and heard that it is profiling. I was told that someone with a lower credit score/bad credit is MORE LIKELY to steal (etc) if given the chance to get ahead.

Well, knowin what I know about how some people get their money, I'd say the opposite has at least as much truth to it, if not more.

Anyway, saying this because of the whole "policy" things in life.

There used to be a sayin "give a man a joint or give him a bottle of booze and see which one makes a fool of him". That also has a lot of truth to it. But again, seen it go both ways.

In the end, what is legal, especially in a decaying society, is not always what is moral. But I digress :)
Perhaps I'll check out the political section of TTR forums some time. Though, with me, as with most, it is a sensitive subject.

Good night all. Have a safe week. Probably not gonna be on much during the week. Seems all I do is drive, eat, sleep. Drive, eat, sleep.

    stay safe

Studies show marijuana has a lower addiction level then many substances, including alcohol. Is it also your opinion that someone who feels the urge to have a few drinks on the weekend and simply can't/won't forego drinking for 3 months is "Highly Likely" to end up operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol?

I don't know your personal opinion on the acceptance of alcohol vs. marijuana, but many people who know little about it seem to want to equate all recreational pot smokers as "stoners" like "Spicoli" in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That would be like equating all recreational drinkers to "Otis" on the Andy Griffith show. --Sloppy drunks that only drink to excess.

Obviously I don't smoke, and I choose not to drink. But I go to a lot of parties and BBQ's where plenty of both activities take place. Being one of the few sober people present it is easy to see that drinking fosters much, MUCH more detrimental behavior then smoking pot. --Yet society as a whole is much more accepting of recreational drinking then it is of recreational pot smoking. It is a laughable hypocrisy.

If someone does not condone either uses recreationally, that is one thing... But those who accept alcohol and condemn pot just because of legalities are not thinking logically.

I live in one of the most "pot-legal" Counties in the Nation. Many who live here would opine that marijuana cultivation is the backbone of our local economy. I am not exaggerating when I say I see a lot of pot consumption. Yes, there are definitely problems associated with it, but not to the scale of the problems I see associated with alcohol consumption. And I surely don't see pot causing addictions that would render the average person unable to complete a normal on-duty cycle without consuming the drug... At least not to any higher likelihood then a recreational drinker would be compelled to drink on-duty.

Worried about drug testing; now that is just funny.
Has long as you list every drug you have taken including over the counter, when you are registering for the TEST, If the drug is listed by the DMV, or any department ending in MV, then ask the said companies Human Relations office or there Safety Department. I will end this with a favorite last line "But as one of the past "President famous sayings I didn't Inhale" so it don't count.
