Sounds like I am the only one who knows that some people do test postive for something they didnt use.

BTW, I dont disagree with the drugs on the banned list, but not metaolitesfrom a substance which is naturally occuring or a bonafide med that is useful for other purposes and does not make one under the influence.

If we made pot legal to drive with we would have to make alcohol legal to drive with too.

Thats why CA cant pass the pot laws making it legal. Too many people would toke and drive under the influence.

Uh oh - another "reefer madness" thread.....

Not to be confused with a "reefer" or refrigerated trailer. :biggrin_2559:

I already DO foot the bill for people's medical affairs... in fact, I've paid enough taxes in the past 10 years to support two families for rent, food and gas money, plus pay for some old dude's medical treatments.

With that said, it's simple - if you test positive and haven't used illegal drugs, it's very easy to disprove with a mandatory (for both sides) secondary testing system. False positives are rare, but also easily beat if they truly ARE false positives.

And if you still burn a hole in the bottom of the cup after a couple more test methods, we also know it WASN'T a false positive.

    Elendil Thanks this.

I must have missed it, what is the anti aging drug that tests positive for meth? Where can I get some?

If it jeopardized my job I don't do it. But there is an argument that it's unfair for the testing to hang you for something you did a month ago and has absolutely no affect on your driving. And an closet alcoholic can slip by and do more damage to the body than marijuana could ever do. Not only a CDL driver but any driver. For example a car driver smokes a single joint 2 weeks ago and is going down the road today and a tire blows causing a major accident. The driver gets hurt and the police what a tox screen. Guess who gets charged for the entire mess because of a test.

I don't believe any medication, legal or not, should be allowed in the system of any driver IF it has an effect in any way. That includes OTC meds too. But the bottom line is don't do any drugs or medication that may effect your job and/or driving career. We had drivers that would get arrested for a DUI and the company would just simple say we no longer need your services. That was way before the laws got strict. So no party or good time is worth seeing your family suffer and you looking for a new job.
