Proof positive. Once a dopehead, always a dopehead. Only a dopehead with money in his case.

Just because something illegal is done by someone with money, doesn't make it "OK" or "respectable". I wouldn't want this guy working on my teeth any more than I want a pot smoker driving the truck next to my family or me.

There is a doctor in this area that is serving a 150 year sentence in prison for dealing the hard drugs...cocaine I think it was.

The guy had guns in his home office so his sentence was doubled, and so he can't get paroled until he is around 95,or 105 years old. He is appealing his sentence because he stored most of the drugs in a vacant neigbhors house where there were not any guns. Doubtful any judge is going to re-open his case so he could get a lesser sentence.

So you are saying we should legalize cocaine, crack cocaine, and meth, so then the criminal activities that occur to get the money to buy these drugs would disappear?

Interesting concept....what do the rest of you think?:biggrin_25525:

I do not see a snow balls chance in hell of that happening anywhere in the USA, except for in Kali. Are you high?

I like you Boardhauler, you make me laugh.

You guys/gals are reading into what I wrote wrong...

I was referring to someones comment regarding "pot use effecting future performance in life". This dentist, I'm sure, didn't just start smoking marijuana as a middled aged adult; he's probably been smoking since high school.

Hardly effected his *performance* in life and hardly effects his skill as a dentist. What he does on his *free* time is his business.

I'm just not into B.S. general statements that people make and refer to them like gospel. Drug abuse definitely isn't the way to go, but a comment like that is stupid.

I think (if you can call it that) that this statement is probably correct. If you legalize something then yes the illegal activities to get these would probably go away. Well for the most part, they'd be replaced by other lesser crimes. More to the point the, more people would use and abuse. This would likely lead to more "accidents" occurring due to using these now legal substances.

I could see a point in time where some now illegal drugs are legalized. It would create some added tax revenue, and more importantly the potency can be controlled.

On the one hand it's just a stupid idea to legalize these substances, on the other hand it's ridiculous the amount of money we spend fighting a war on drugs to not even come close to solving the problem.

There has never really been a serious war on drugs. There is too much profit to be made for the powers that be to make a genuine effort to stop the flow of drugs. If they were serious then we would have more people working the southern border. If we were serious we would be rounding up illegals in this country. Many of them do bring drugs across the border. At one time all those illegal drugs were legally used in this country. We might not be able to completely stop the flow of drugs, but we could reduce it to a trickle. It would be fairly easy to stop illegals and drugs. Just mine the southern border. Land mines would stop anything that moves from entering this country.

I agree....if we had every TSA agent in the USA working the southern border of the USA, just imagine what would happen to the illigal immigration and drug trafficking....but Congress is not interested in a war on drugs.....just remember, the government is here to help you...:biggrin_25513:

I am of the theory that Mexico is still at war with the US. It is a slap in their face that all points west from Corpus Christi and north of the Rio Grande are under US control. Regardless of the treaty. Therefore, those pansies, rather than send an honorable military force, send an invasion of the least among them...playing on the sympathies of the more humane among us. This invasion has never ceased in all the time since the Mexican-American War was fought. There is a political purpose to the invasion. It is to take over the US from inside, since an all-out, honest declaration of war would certainly be repelled at the border...and beyond.

Many Mexican youngsters are still being taught in elementary school that California, Arizona, New Mexico, the bulk of Texas and all points north to Canada...and even places within Canada...belong to Mexico and the resident governments are merely occupational. That's why the border doesn't mean anything to them. A vivid sign of this is the acceptance of the Mexican flag flown in certain areas, when display of the US flag is called "racist."

The drugs are only a side issue. Violent, immediate and spectacular, but a side issue nevertheless.

In a moment of synchronicity I was reading this post when my two Mexican tenants came by to pay their rent. I showed them the post, Carmen was a bit bewildered, Janeth was laughing and wanted to get her husband & show him. Leonardo thinks you're crazy, for whatever that's worth.

So that makes two people from Michoacan and one from Jalisco who have never heard of this. I'm printing out the post to take with me next week & I'll be asking every Mexican I know if they have ever heard of it. My nephew's kids were told in Catholic school (Right here in the U.S.) that the Jews killed Jesus. Amazing how this sh#t gets started, isn't it?

So how do you feel about people who fly the confederate flag? What about the rasta folks going Jamaican on us?
