it is good to not have to think twice about taking a drug test or a breathylizer anytime anywhere I know for a fact trucking companies frown deeply on weed use ,because I had an 8 year old misdemeanor on my record concerning a very small amount and already has caused me to be denied by 2 companies. But whoever said once a smoker always a smoker is very wrong because this dude hasnt touched it in over 7 years or a single beer or funny little glass of wine ,I wish you the best of luck. I certainly am in no position to be judging people , but drugs are bad um kay and can come back to haunt you at some point in your life . with all the athletes and even a couple of presidents who have admitted using in there past everyone should be given a second chance ,

Those "proud" drivers so have something to worry about....unfortunately. As I learned recently, you can test positive without ever touching a drug in your lifetime. I do mean lifetime. I am almost 40 and have never as much as been around a person using drugs, yet I tested "positive" for marijuana, at 10 times the cutoff. I was told that a level like mine indicates not only chronic use, but I would have had to smoke something like 10 cigarettes the morning of the test. Which by the way was at 8am in the morning. Don't know too much but I am sure that I probably would have smelled like it at least, that is if I could even stand up to give the sample, if that were the case.

I have taken 8 follow up test, including a hair sample, all came back negative but the DOT won't even talk to me about it. So yes, even clean drivers need to be concerned because somebody elses mistake can ruin your life.
