Than again school is a different story, being crammed into a tiny classroom with 32 students.:biggrin_2556:

newbee NC The testing procedure is the same for all, you will get a call if on the road to go for a random test, unless it is for pre-employment then you will get told the day and time of the test, normally it will be the same day as you are qualified in that step in your appplication. But for the random you will just get a call and told the location to go to and then you need to go there. The test is short unless you can't go it is done in a privet setting (observation test have to be requested by the MVO and documented why it was requested) and then you will as cybergal said be given instructions as on what to do and not do. If you can't go at first you will be given a length of time,3 hours, to perform the task and then if you can't go this is considered a refusal. Just stop worrrying about it that's the first step and then drink water (not more than three glasses)before you leave for the test. If you drink to much water it can dilute the test and that is called a negative diluted test and you may have to retest. Well good luck and study hard:biggrin_25523:

thanks for the info. I can go in a public restroom if i really have to go, its just having to go with someone in the same room watching me go that could be a problem especially if I really dont have to go in the first place. I feel better now that I know no one watches me go for the drug screens. I heard other jobs like the navy requires observation and i just wondered about trucking. Once again thank you all

It may be a little off-topic but it seems to me that your social anxiety disorder may well be helped by a drastic change in lifestyle such as OTR driving... Being thrust into new situations is something that the anxiety afflicted often dread and will fight and rationalise to avoid, but once it happens you may find that you are stripped of many of the triggers and opportunities for escape-behavior which reinforce your disease while being forcible desensitised to certain unpleasent situations (such as public urination).

On the other hand you may go for your first day orientation and drug testing and immediately have a strong anxiety reaction... Who knows?

In any case, as your life procedes with your condition it is inevitable that you will face changes which elicit one or the other outcome, so no need to let it drive you away from a career you otherwise find attractive.
