Ok now I have to say if you knew you had to take a "random" in the morning they are in violation in how to do randoms. You must be available for dispatch and must take the test within 2 hours of being told so be carefull who you make that statement to:biggrin_2554: That's the very thing DOT is checking for when they do DOT audits right now to change the pattern of their "normal" audits.

But I am safe in thinking you are not drinking or doing drugs, but just letting you and everyone else know that rule :).

logs- i know the rule - don't know why my company allows 72 hours, that's their problem if it ever becomes an issue.

concerning time spent doing the testing - i was in and out of there pretty fast - cdl drivers are always put to the top of the list at that particular office.

but, i will defend the fact that it definitely makes for safer highways - enough people are caught in a random test - and fired - that makes it worth it regardless of the fact that there are people doing whatever they can to try to find a way to pass it even though they are users.

Yes you are correct it's the trucking problem and that's all I was wanting drivers to know is what the rule is. It could help them knowing them regulations as many drivers have been on home time sent and flunked and they got the bad rap because they didn't know the regs.:biggrin_2554:
