I believe there is a limit on how many permits you can get before they make you get an account. Not exactly sure anymore since there are a couple odd States with permitting. I had month where I had to give them a thousand bucks for driving through.

Why would anyone in their right mind wanna fool with this?
That is 18 - 1/2 feet deep. That's more than a Crete driver standing on the trailer.
That's just west of Old Fujnuts Summit on US 20, in between avalanches.
You should have seen the truck parts stuck in the snow at the top. And it was only about 1-1/2 lane wide, so don't know what would have happened if someone coming the other way. Not much brains to do this.
This how deep it is where you unchain. There's no dirt berm there, that's snow. This is the not much snow part.JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
I actually ran across to Seattle between blizzards last February. I think I made $12k in about 10 days running. I got lucky but doing that all the time isn't for me.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Right now the rates are pretty good running from LA up to Portland and Seattle on the I-5. Lots of reefer loads, but I've seen a number of dry van that were $3 on the Convoy app. I've also seen a number of loads out of Washington State heading to the northern Midwest and also down to Texas that are maybe $2+ a mile. If you could get a decent load to LA, you can do a big loop and wind up someplace not to far from a load that could get you back home after a week or two. If you do wind up going to Seattle, don't try to park in or near the city. An hour and a half south there is plenty of parking and you get up early and head in before the traffic gets bad. Also the best time around Portland is very early morning or late evening. Otherwise the traffic really sucks.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Good stuff to think about here. My preferred method of learning things is to jump in but this thread has helped for sure.
I'm about to take a 2 week(ish) turn out to Seattle and then who knows where and I'll report back on my millions......or not.Truckermania, Dave_in_AZ, whoopNride and 1 other person Thank this. -
If you start making millions please let the rest of us know how you did it.
86scotty Thanks this. -
I know you said you'll be in the Seattle area. This load is only 320 miles from Seattle in Kettle City, WA. It goes to San Diego, CA which is only 1,360 miles loaded miles.
So, let's see, that's 1,680 ALL miles, just think of all those miles you can get in!
Oh, wait...what's the rate, you ask?
$1,400.00 FREAKING DOLLARS!
Your path to millions is waiting for you!bryan21384, ElijahJohn1, Dave_in_AZ and 2 others Thank this. -
P.S. if you'd like her number, just PM me.
Love, Scooter.
