Im insulted with the scary reefers. I built a life such as it is on the #### things. I enjoyed the "BS" as well as the cloistered quiet church of grocery when everything falls into place. Taking a load of produce or food out of Yakima all the way to Boston or some such place so people can eat righteously.... It's a joy. Ive absolutely nothing except a wrecked body and a tired mind to show for a life time of reefer work.. but No regrets at all. None.

You shouldn't be insulted by one having concerns as their intrest in a division of trucking. I'm merely trying to see if it's a road I'm wanting to travel in order to reap some of the benefits it can offer. I do appreciate your input though!

It's not really a insult. I could not find the right context to express myself... let's see.. Dry van is good. Nothing wrong with anything trucking, I just learned over the years it's way better to have a reefer on hand so I can pick up that dry van load any time. It worked out well. Just a touch heavier than what dry van is used to putting into the box with the total weight of the freight.

I actually got bored with dry van only. Got to the point that I chose to get into reefer, flatbed and tanking over the years to change things up and sharpen my interest and stay motivated. I just did not know just how much Reefer work would affect me so deeply going into Hunts Point every night from Baltimore. The people in both cities were good to me, but in those days I knew nothing. Green as a tumbleweed and going into harms way in them days before they cleaned the place up a little bit, 13.50 for the GWB toll too back then. Thought that was high but also an additional toll before Connecticut too before they finally removed it. Never mind the Hunts toll gate too.

I hope my thinking helps you understand me a little better. Again, nothing wrong with dry van, but I encourage you to go with a reefer, so that loads are around for both. Not just for cooling but here in winter also for keeping warm like Paint.

Not interested in leasing, the company I'm with has just as nice or nicer equipment as them and is outfitted with Satellite TV, radio, fridge, and inverter and too boot I'm making good money without all the lease binding contract. If my company ran west and most 48...I wouldn't even consider driving anywhere else,I'm that happy there but would like to venture more than just the Midwest and Northeast.

Typing is not that much of a effort. In deaf culture signlanguage I use space, time past, present and future. Add in a beginning, middle and end plus a positive view and a negative one to balance. It's very easy to express myself in sign with just a few moves of the hands and facial, body langauge etc to another deaf. It will take about 200 or more words to write out everything that is in my head when I have convert the concept or idea from visual to written english.

My spouse has had enough of my stories over the years when I start off by explaining you see this is what we did so that.. (GET TO THE POINT!!!) ok fine. No you want reefer work no dry van. there. happy?
    =)

Not sure how fast I am now but been a little over 100 wpm my adult life all because of one typing class in High School on a actual typewriter. The computers for the schools computer classes were all dos based with the black screen and ugly green font.
