I put recaps very first time when my driver did this couple weeks ago ...the only reason - they didn't have matching set for axle

Pavrom, that had to have been a long smoky slide your driver did, as long as your truck didn't rear end someone l guess it was worth buying a few tires?

Our company uses recaps if replaced at the terminal. If we have to replace a tire on the road, we will get a good used tire. If those aren't available, a recap will do.

I only run Goodyear virgins and check ALL tire pressures every pre-trip (no exceptions). I only had to pay a tire truck bill one time to learn this lesson the hard way and the whole experience kind of turned me into an a s s hole about my tires lol

Easy there. My red line came unhooked on my 11 month old empty trailer and all 8 tires were destroyed by the time I could get to the shoulder from 70 mph. Don’t think I went 300ft? 8 bald spots and $3600.00 in less that 5 seconds.

Cooper Tire has been building tires in the US since 1960 for Hercules. If Dot starts with “UT” it will be Texarkana plant.

Dam it was a good thing you were driving and kept it on the road and not going to the ditch?

Had something similar happen a couple months back. Hit a tire in middle of road and snapped all air lines. Doing 65

Was it a yard dog? I have picked up pre loaded trailers like that. Still cheaper than an accident.
