This plug is behind the compressor and there is zero voltage to it, ipr valve wiring is running from the same harness. And I have 12 volts on them![]()

After I unplugged that one. I have zero voltage again ipr valve to. Must be something in the wiring. Only where to look. Truck won’t crank anymore now.

Normally when I unplug the power feed fuse. All the electrical is clicking and such. Dead also.

The three wire plug is your oil pressure sensor. One pin will have 5 volts, one is signal ground and other is signal return to the ecm. IPR will have 12 volts on one pin with key on. The relays at the firewall area are prone to bad connection. Leave the key on, everything connected and just wiggle the wiring and relays gently in that area and see you can find a bad spot.
jamespmack and B77 Thank this. -
That’s a good idea. I already did some wiggles but after I pulled the oil sensor plug. Everything went to zero volts. Can it be the sensor it self that messes everything up?

The 5 volt supply is shared by the ICP sensor, so if it is shorting it could cause ICP sensor issues too.

A 2005 with miles on it and white smokes while running or breaks up with throttle? Need injectors.

Basically the story of this week: got truck running after cleaning fuel housing drove 80km problem less next morning zero oil/fuel pressure. Engine still cranked. Fixed the fuel pressure (stays pressured). After I pulled the oil pressure sensor connector. Zero cranking and lost all voltage. At the ipr valve to.
I am thinking of pulling the whole wiring harness of and ripp it apart and hopefully I find it in there(I use the truck private but I am 9 weeks down now) I really appreciate every feedback you guys give me. -
Can it be something at the starter. Looks like there are 2 solenoids or a ground wire somewhere?
-
There is a clean power harness that runs from the batteries to the engine harness. It connects with a Metripak connector near the starter. That harness is bad for rubbing through and corroding. Make sure you have good power there. I use a headlight and make it power both high and low beam.
B77 and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this.
