    .
All truck are not insulated alike, high top or flat top , 60 inch or 84 inch, tremendous difference in volume of air to cool. That said apu’s use a very small amount of Freon and it must be spot on to get top performance and all installers are not equal. I learned years ago when I had a pos comfort pro.

    RStewart and starmac Thank this.

yes not all trucks are insulated good. All I know 13000 btu a/c needed for sleeper Cascadia to make enough cold inside when outside is 105-110F. I have tried different window a/c on Cascadia. After all experiments I gave up. The truck runs in CA , Az and NV . Maybe in MN or WI 9000 btu will be ok or if truck has flat top, small sleeper .
Ductless/portable/window a/c must have enough btu to make cold inside of your truck. Before final installation put it in the truck and run it using power cord from garage or house.. See if you like it or not. Then buy a generator that will be big enough to power it.

Even trucks with the artic insulation package are not even close to alike from manufacturer to manufacturer.
My international has the artic package, and I don't think it is insulated as good as most paccar products with standard insulation. My W 9 with the artic package heats and cools muy bueno.
