I am an O/O and was recently let go from QC for a bad driving record, three accidents that were not my fault but they still held it against me, then I got ticket for holding phone while driving, yes, this was dumb. I imagine my age is a factor also, I'm 72 (####) but don't feel that old. I don't want to turn it back to QC but I am having a very hard time finding place to put my truck. I see many companies now want you to have your own baseplate and DOT number and insurance. I guess so it takes the liability off them.
Is this a good way to go, any suggestions will be appreciated.

3 accidents and a driving violation will probably price you right out of the insurance market.

Man hate to hear this. I was under the assumption you could only lease on to an approved carrier with a qc lease? Your options are probably already limited and aren’t most of the approved companies a part of the same company and if so you are most likely out of luck as they probably all follow the same guidelines?

Thank you, and yes you are right, I can't go to any other QC terminal, I am done with QC, I need to find another company that will give me a chance then I can buy my lease away from QC.

    Thank you
I'm afraid you might be right, as I see it the only CHANCE I have is to TRY to find my own insurance and get my DOT number and baseplate, then the company will have no liability, that is IF I can get insurance and IF it won't break the bank.

I got a quote from progressive for $17K/yr with my own MC (with 1yr CDL). If I can do it, so can you.

Grow a pair (meant in a good way) , and go for it.
