DUI...long ago. Still matters?

You can NEVER go to Canada, it's considered a Felony and you're a felon. Met a guy one time who got turned back from picking up 3k potqtoes to finish a load.

 

Well, I want to be prepared and give honest and correct info on any applications.

I have been trying to get my criminal record. i called the court house and they told me to call the court it was in. the lady there said if it was before 1990 it wouldnt be in the computer, it was on the old paper books, she checked 1985 and 86, but nothing there for me.
Well, (dont laugh) I cant remember exactly what year it was, 86, 89 ???, and I cant find anything in my possesion stating when it was.......

Besides having the lady look thru all the books from 87- 89 i have no idea what is on my criminal record.

How the heck do you get a USIS or whatever ???? This is driving me batty!
So what do the cops check when they pull a person over.... if it aint in the computer, ...... ya know ?
