You can't change what has happened, but get a lawyer that specializes in DUI cases and that will get your charges lowered so you are not convicted of an OVI/DUI. Conviction will be on your record for life in most states now and will be a stain on your record forever. Good luck to you and hope you can beat the charge.

Thanks for the encouraging words and you couldn’t have said it any better. I do not want this on my record at all. I will fight it the best to my ability.

There are anti-masking laws for CDL drivers Luckily that means he can't get it reduced. Either way though, talk to a lawyer and make sure they know you have a CDL.

Next time op decides to try and kill someone by drunk driving, just don't.

If that was for me, it will stay a good life. Up to the point that someone murders someone I care about because they don't have enough self control to get a taxi.

And yes, my best friend in high school was murdered by a drunk driver. I'm sure if you ask any victim they would agee with me.

Nobody dead here, hoss. Maybe you should take life as it comes rather than what you imagine.
Dude admitted that he screwed up and was looking for some advice. And the best you can offer is this.....
    Sad, sad days.

    Badmon and spsauerland Thank this.

Anti-masking is about convicted CDL holders. OP has not been convicted. Let the court decide his judgement.
According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, in order for masking to occur, there first must be a judgment of guilt. According to § 383.5.
    Still America right?

    ZVar and Badmon Thank this.
