Apply to become a Mexican citizen, and get a Matricula Consular card. Then just have more than one Drivers license. http://www.americanpatrol.com/REFERENCE/MatriculaConsularShamIDs.html

I bet you were fantastically joyful patting yourself on the back when MADD came into effect in the 1980's giving yourself a reasonable explanation @ missed fun back in 1960's , Preach on with your bad self!!

Did you skip vietnam ? -
Hey, I was young once, had plenty of fun, but was intelligent enough to get DD, or if at a friends house, just staid there, sorry being young isn't a viable excuse, nothing to lose? How about your life! I had friend killed from drinking and driving, 17 much to young to dieTonythetruckerdude Thanks this.

I can relate to what you're saying. Drinking and driving used to be considered "fashionable". Today it is frowned upon with good reason. Some judges sending people to prison for 1 to 2 years on their 2nd DUI. Their is a lot more traffic nowadays. We (the whole senior class would have bonfires, get tanked up on beer and go racing in the country out in the county. The main danger seemed to be hitting a deer. Not the case nowadays, there's always someone chomping right behind you,no matter where you drive. I NEVER drink and drive nowadays. Walk or take a cab.

yep, big difference between today and yesteryear.
the population has more then doubled in 30 years.
when i was a teen, i lived at the edge of the city. today, it's the middle of the city. -
No sir I didn't. Volunteered and was wounded 22 November 1969. Spent the next 19 months recuperating in Guam. I'm not trying to start or make an argument here just stating an opinion. You guys ( snowy and yourself and lots of others have a different opinion ) nothing wrong with that , nothing at all. I'll add this then drop out. Snowy I really believe we would all benefit from thinking constantly about how to avoid the CRASH. Be a lot less folks killed or injured on our roads if we all thought more about it.

Thank you for your service.
I can definitely understand both sides of the argument. I respect your opinion too. These days their really is no excuse for it any longer. Some say that you shoulda been smart enough etc.. Trouble is with alcohol, your ability to think is impaired, you think your fine, but your not. That's the way it was for me, I thought I got this, no problem, I'm not even drunk.
I left a bar, made it home, realized i forgot my $30 dollar pool stick, went back to the bar, speeding, took a turn too fast in some loose gravel and ended up in a ditch (told my dad I swerved to miss a dog). Rocked the truck back in forth (forward and reverse) with the door open looking back, then the truck gained traction and the open door went crunch (brand new truck). Guy pulled me out, went to the bank to withdrawl some money so I can pay him for his service, got busted for speeding. Off to jail I went, that $30 dollar pool stick cost me well over 5 grand.
For those of you who say your smart enough, If you made a decision before hand to get a DD then you were. Most of us didn't really think too much about the near future and were to worried about chasing women and having a good time. We don't plan to get wasted and then choose to get behind a wheel. It just by then our thinking is gone. Hopefully when you wake up the next morning you've learned and didn't kill anyone. I still drink but I don't do it at bars, why? because you have to go home. I'd say 90% of anyone who drives to a bar is driving home drunk. Remember driving slightly buzzed is drunk driving.
I'm not making excuses, I did wrong, but I didn't hurt anyone, and I've got a 17 year track record to prove that I've learned from it. I paid 5 grand in fees and out of state lawyers, I paid in lossed wages, and loss jobs. If it wasn't for that I'd been driving a truck years ago. I don't think I should have to continue to pay for it. As I've said I do believe in harsh penalties, and also I don't agree to this expungement crap. People need to know if you have a habit. Especially when it comes to driving a tractor trailer.
I think all new drivers need to go through an extensive blood and guts session. When your that age you think nothing can happen to you, your invincible. In part it's our failure for not teaching the youth how really important it is.Shaggy and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -
you'll be fine man, my uncle got a dui less than a year and a half ago and hes back driving with a small outfit. I would see about getting your record expunged. And stay away from the booze. I just turned 21 6 mos ago and I have yet to even step foot in a bar. If your gonna drink stay the #### home
