Do you have the operators/maintenance/service manual? May tell you what lights came from the factory.
On most trailers one marker in front, marker plus turn signal in middle(they can be one light, two jobs) and one red in the back on the side. I would just do six lights a side. One top and one bottom. Front middle and rear. For both sides of trailer.

Naw man, they make a putty that comes in a tube, you knead it up into a ball and use it to fill the holes. You can get it pretty smooth before it hardens. Lets see if my Google-## is as strong as @Blackshack46 's....Blackshack46 Thanks this.
