Dumb question about trailer lights..

Do you have the operators/maintenance/service manual? May tell you what lights came from the factory.

On most trailers one marker in front, marker plus turn signal in middle(they can be one light, two jobs) and one red in the back on the side. I would just do six lights a side. One top and one bottom. Front middle and rear. For both sides of trailer.

 

Fill the old holes with something and dot tape it?
Patch it?
Grow a vegetable garden out of em?

 

Look up FMVSS 108. Should tell you exactly what you need. Can't post a link because my phone sucks.

 

No ticket, it was just the annual commercial safety inspection.

 

Naw man, they make a putty that comes in a tube, you knead it up into a ball and use it to fill the holes. You can get it pretty smooth before it hardens. Lets see if my Google-## is as strong as @Blackshack46 's....
