LTL means Less Than Truckload no matter what the commodity.. If a milk truck driver leaves out with 9 stops it's LTL since he's not delivering an entire load to one stop.

Since you're only 22 keep your options open man. LTL freight jobs generally pay great and are seniority based so the younger you start the better. LTL freight jobs are companies like Old Dominion, FedEx Freight, Con-way Freight, UPS Freight, and ABF.. They all pay well but since they're seniority based, it can be hard when you first start out there right.....

At your age just keep your options open and enjoy life man..

They are a a little booklet sized item with each page having about 6 of the exact same stick-on PRO number and tracking code bars so they can be scanned with a lazer reader in transit.

The next page usually has one number up from the last for a different load. All LTL P&D drivers carry them as well as some of the line haul drivers on occasion.

When they get to the pickup point, they affix these PRO tracking numbers to the item or pallets so that they can tracked all the way to the consignees' destination.

Back when I was younger the milkman drove a step van and delivered to houses door to door. We had a little metal insulated box outside our door. The milkman would come in the early morning and leave a couple glass quarts. We would leave cash in there to pay him. As time went on and the world got wilder, kids would steal the money. So they stopped that idea and mass distribution envolved.

And when I was really young, my brother and I had to walk to the neighbors farm with one of them tall milk cans and get whole milk from the neighbors farm.
