Curious are the rivots real close to webb. It may have q+ (4707) shoes when it should have q (4515). If its an older trailer it should be 4515's.

That is a Newway suspension that pivots on the center, Weight distribution will be quit equal.
Those are Rockwell Q plus shoes, no hump in the web by the spring on the left. The thickness of the cam head in the center will tell you which one you need, cannot tell you off the top of my head.
The other possibility is it should have Fruehauf shoes. Not having a screw on hub is not a positive identification. If it has a screw on hub cap it 100% should have Fruehauf-Propar shoes.

Yes but if you replace the cams only Q+ cams are normally available anymore and you have to update to +'s.

If an axle has been replaced both may not take the same shoes. Easy to overlook.

Well stopped by the Shop where I bought all new parts. Parts guy where baffled. Said they sell a lot of that combo of shoes and drums. So I walked over to service. His first thought was the drum is not centered on the hub. He would bet his job thats 99% the problem. Two of the worst axles where not centered. Wether it fixes it or not. We will see tomorrow. Got all wheels pretty close of being centered. Their has to be some type bushing you can put on the studs to align everything up. Shoe fit up is a lot better now.

Drums normally center between the small hole in them and the hub. We get some transferred in & transient old trailers here with the wrong drums. Usually loaded and got to go. Have found a couple of lugs just snug will allow the drum to be pried around to center on the hub and then tighten it down. That works OK until a tire is repaired, replaced etc.
Sounds like they sold you the wrong drums for your trailer which is not what they sell a lot of. If they matched the number of your old drum or number you gave them that's on you. If they messed up I would demand they replace them.
I still question the possible ProPar shoe. The offset on the anchor end of the shoe ( web ) might move it to proper position.
Still have your old drums? Picture of your old shoes?

If Benson would have kept records for their equipment sold I would know exactly what is factory installed. But I don't. These are bud wheels and yes their are cerntering alignment marks. Put their not perfect. If I can get some cash stashed I would switch hubs, rims over to hub pilot. Drums match shoes. Wether or not their the right pair who knows. We went off of what was on the trailer before. Trailer did the same thing with old shoes and drums.

Jack up a wheel and spin it by hand and watch the drum to see if it is off center. I don't think so because your one pictures shows about the same gap at the top shoe too. I still think wrong shoes or drum.

Is there a tag on the axle? Numbers on the hubs? A good brake parts guy can tell you what belongs on it with those.

If the drum is off centre that far it would pulse and shudder so bad it would be very noticeable.
