Dump Trailers, Frame Vs. Frameless

All kidding aside, dump trailers are good, just pay attention to it. Like the men have said, get it level. And watch it as it goes up.If it starts leaning, set it back down and do something different. With time and experience, you will get comfortable with it. I have been lucky, havent rolled yet.
I have never pulled a frameless trailer, but have heard they are more stable.

 

I saw unique trucks in Turkey. Very long frame with up to 45' bed, generally of COE design, with two steer axes, two drive axes and pusher axe. It is amazing, but no terrible turning radius....

 

I've never seen a frameless dump take a truck with it when it goes over. I know 3 guys here locally with framed dumps, and all have rolled a tractor when they upset. All were driver error, 2 were dumping dirt and one backed ON TOP of a salt pile to dump.

 

The best (but very expencive) dump truck is Ginaf with electronically controlled hydrolic suspention. May be used on very rought terrain where any other tipper may easily flip.

yea ive dumped in bins that were on a jack both frame and frameless.....watched a guy with a frameless do it wrong and a draft arm broke and went over


a 39 ft with 60" sides will give you 57 yards

 

I have seen a 4 axle framed dump go over, and not take the tractor.

Lifted the drives on one side about 3' off the ground, and did not even twist the frame.

I guess Volvo is good for something. Lol

That video had to be staged lol. The rig was way unlevel before the dump even began! I cant possibly imagine anyone would raise a bucket leaning like that. Good vid but had to be done for training purposes.
