People Hire 10 wheelers? In PA you must have a triaxle or they wont hire you. . Im hooked up with good company and have been scoring 1000 bucks a day on tonnage in 8 hours. 10-12 loads. Even if you do dirt work, black top, or millings, must be triaxle. Thats more my gig but im fine with hauling stone for a few more weeks. Only people that own 10 wheelers in pa are small construction companies that like the versitality of them in house. PA you are allowed 73280 max with any straight truck but must have one lift axle. Another lift axle or 2 wont allow you to get anymore than that. 80k for combination unit. So pup trailers are non existant here.

You know what is funny there you see a lot of really super heavy duty 10 wheelers in the New York-New Jersey area. I don't think they're just contractors with those trucks there actually hauling. I don't really know how the tonnage or overweight permits work in New York. I do see triaxles there too.
I could be wrong but I thought in New Jersey a 10-wheeler is 70,000 and a tri-axle is 80000. Don't know about NY.
In PA a 10-wheeler is 58,400 and a tri-axle is 73,280.Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
MA is 73,000 for a ten wheeler and 77,000 for a tri, ten wheelers get hired out all the time for mass, problem is you can’t go to CT with a 10 wheeler, RI hauls heavy on 10 too I believe (similar to MA)
my cousin can get 21 ton in his 10 wheeler t800 and 23.5 in the Tri axle kw, and just under 25 ton in the LTLBrettj3876 Thanks this. -
10 wheeler weighing that much? that must be squirly as hell and a bear to stop with no lift axle. I dont even see how the state says that is safe. crazy
