Dump truck spec question

    I have a whole front section we cut off a truck we parted out. So I have that if needed

    Pretty sure you do need the complete steer axle setup...gearbox and all. Adding distance between the steer axle and tandems and a longer bed would get some weight up front. You should be able to find a shop that could help you calculate it out to a desired distance.

    Done by a good shop, the stretch will cost. $5-10k + a "new" bed $10k+.....Used bed, shade tree stretch probably $5-10k?

    A whole lot of money and down time when just getting a bigger truck that is finished, might be cheaper in the long run and just put less on that truck. You have to count the loss in revenue as because of the down time as part of the cost also.

    Well I don't know where your tandems are. But if they're not all the way back you should do that first. Might be easier to just add a booster lift axle.
