Throw away that overpriced Apple , and get real thing what calls "LAPTOP"

How much does that thing cost?I do miss the built in DVD players along with all the disk it came with.But it is what it is.

 

Complete list of bestbuy laptops. Everyone one of them comes with a built in DVD/CD burner.

Figures, you just sent an ad without even reading it.The re isnt even a slot to put the disk in.You would need to buy extra features.None of those have a DVD player.Try again buddy.

 

Sorry, but you are wrong. Most lap tops do still come with optical drives.

These do not have dvd players.Like I said you would have to buy that added feature separately.Labtops are a lot thinner today.You look on today's laptops and you will not find a DVD or CD player.I do have a couple laptops from yrs about with a DVD player.But not today.I have looked and looked for such a laptop.No-one sells them anymore.

My laptop, almost brand new, a cheap one, purchased off the shelf at BestBuy, has a DVD drive. All of the other ones I was looking at there had DVD drives.

If you look at the link Snowwy gave, it is the link to the laptops Best Buy sells. Anything with at least a 15 inch screen has a DVD drive standard. It is not an add on, it is not an option. The smaller (11.6 inch usually) ones are often referred to as netbooks, and they don't come with one. Some very cheap laptops are designed to be used online exclusively and as such don't come with a real hard drive or optical drive, but those are very cheap and not the norm.

. .At least one Len0v0 and one Dell (that I looked at) have "Optical Drive Type DVD-RW" listed in spec .So some still do have them, but not the bottom of the line models
