As God is my witness you are wrong on that. But you are free to make any assumptions you please. I was under no obligations to ever answer your questions on that and I take comfort in knowing the truth on it.

I'm enjoying living and working in the states quite well. However, your nation's hypocrisies don't go unnoticed. Kindly do me a favor and quit fighting your proxy wars against Russia through the hands of my Ukrainian countrymen.

We'll leave the thread open so that serious topics of conversation can be discussed without one person hijacking the whole thing.

A bit off topic but whatever.
Maybe one day in the not so distant future you'll find your company receiving rave reviews on it's own merits and won't need to troll trucking websites

There's no reason that a 1099 deal can't be good for the driver. As long as the driver is aware that HE is responsible for paying the company's portion of FICA and that the company isn't paying into unemployment or worker's comp on his behalf, making him ineligible. Mid- and large size companies usually provide group health and retirement benefits which most 1099 companies don't, though they can. The problem is that in nearly every circumstance of a driver driving company truck, it's flat out illegal to classify them as a contractor. The ONLY reason companies do this is to avoid substantial costs of operation that every legal carrier is paying. Trucking has long been a race to the bottom in terms of rates. It's one thing to do it cheaper because you're more efficient; but doing it cheaper by operating illegally hurts everyone in the long run.

You never asked us... Our policy (W4) is as follows: When you go home, you tell us when you're coming back to work,. If its greater than 30 days, we want the truck back and you'll get a different one upon your return. We request that a driver maintain a full-time status by averaging at least 4-5 days/week in order to maintain their benefits eligibility (must drive more than 17 days/month, so that would be up to 14 days off each month).

Oh, crap. That completely negates your argument on home time.
