Answer the question on the application EXACTLY AS IT IS ASKED. The application IS NOT an invitation to say or write everything on the subject.

Can you keep a DUI off your record?
Even if you’ve been convicted of a DUI, you can eventually get it expunged. Expunging a DUI means it will be removed from your criminal record (even if it is still on your driving record) and you no longer have to disclose it to employers. A DUI can only be expunged once you have served all penalties and probation, and is best done with the help of a DUI lawyer.

By Law they need 10 yrs employment history, Don’t know about these days, but, Dwi or Dui used to stay on record, forever, in my State. Impared Driving ( lesser charge) only 10 yrs. I would get a copy of your record from DMV. Also run a background check on yourself. Not expensive and quick. Dwi conviction is a felony, so it may be available information. Then answer accordingly. I don’t think many care about real old stuff, like that, an honest answer to meet insurance requirements is usually all they want.

Usually can have only one felony, on record to qualify.Well worth the cost if it means the difference between a mediocre paying vs a better paying job.

I just noticed the word misdemeanor in post title. Lol. I doubt you have anything to worry about, 21 yr old misdemeanor, That’s something a person could actually have forgotten about. Good Luck. There’s a lot of convicted felons Driving Trucks.
