HorseShoe is correct. Your DUI will be on your record permanently.

Say you get a DUI in 2027....It will still be your second DUI, and you will be penalized as such. Unlike regular tickets, it will not drop off after 7 or 10 years....

Until you move from NY? Guess again! 45 states are DLC members and will pull and put that DUI on your record as fast as you convert to their state, the 5 states that aren't technically DLC members although not forced to, DO report and share out info just the same. I know first hand because Im from on of them. Your not getting that charge off by moving.

Todays trucking industries are pretty unforgiving. You;ll more then likely have to wait at least another yr before you would be considered. But 5 yrs is the magic number for most companies though like a member said.

3 years for some, 5 years for most. a small few are 7 years, 10 years, some never will hire anybody with 1 DUI. you get two DUIs, you're pretty much toast with most companies.

i was almost as certain as can be, that was the case, but i didn't want to swear to it, as i had no proof at the time i was responding, so i left it for others to respond to.

maybe some states have lowered the legal limit for OVER 21 yrs of age.???

as a small example, persons under the age of 21 in my state, the limit is .02

    in California, it is .04

of course, the o/p may have been OVER 21 years of age when this happened, but that is not to say the legal limits for the over 21 crowd is .08 across America....

since i am not at issue here, i'll let someone else find out...

I call Schneider today and the minimum there is 7 years I can not apply until 2019.

Prime will take 3 years so I probably have a change there because this DWI is about 3 years and 5 months.

    More to come.....

Try Earl Henderson Trucking; they're affiliated with Prime and probably get in classes faster.
