I have a DX99 in a 2012 386 Pete. It was for the most part clean. Just some static. Installed a power inverter to run my frig and microwave. When I did that put a lot more static in my cb. I knew their was going to be some so I had already got a filter for the power of the cb. Installed that and still have more thorn I thought static. Even more so when I gave the truck running. Sq is set half way, rg gain set at 2/3. Is that normal or is it something I can do to fix it? Nothing in truck is factory all was run and set before adding the inverter. Still talks clean and load so that side of it is good. Any suggestions?

MANY Inverters are switching supplys and they produce noise in radios over a wide range ...

    A fix :biggrin_2556:

Well filtering the unit if you can find a good filter might help ... your problem is not just with CB ... yes HAMS feel the pain too ......

As you can see much has been wrote about this check with a truck stop they might have a filter already made .....
