I was checked 2 years ago I Minnesota, second time in 9 years. I burn fuel oil for heat at home so I would pump it into my house and fill with fresh fuel.

Can some one tell me what you are talking about?
-
Over a couple year period I was checked 6-8 times in MT (not to mention a few times in AB and SK).
I would not run it; it only takes once...magoo68 Thanks this. -
The OP bought a truck that had dyed, off road fuel in it. Since it's not taxed like regular on road fuel, he's trying to figure out what to do with it. Everyone else is talking about the last time the puc dipped their tanks to see if they were running off road or on road fuel. All caught up now?
D.Tibbitt, magoo68, Rideandrepair and 5 others Thank this. -
Plus Murphy will rear his head and pop up the one trip in 1,000 while the op has dyed fuel in the tanks. At least that's my luck.D.Tibbitt, Nostalgic, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.

Yes thank you. I've never heard of such a thing.

Seems to come and go in spurts. I've been checked twice in the past 12 years and those two times were within a year of each other. It's no big deal... unless you've got the wrong juice in the tank.D.Tibbitt, clausland, jamespmack and 2 others Thank this.

Sam gonna get his money, good luck to the original op
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
I agree with how long has it been in there. Definitely check for algae/water.
