Yanmar is a Japanese engine manufacturer with a long track record of solid diesel engines. Kubota is the other common APU engine manufacturer. Again, same story with Kubota.

I can see it being a problem if you don't get through OK often. I've heard there's some decent dealers in TX near Dallas. But for the most part, when the Kenworth/Pete dealerships are your local source? You're gonna have downtime.
I like Boomers because APU is all they do. They install/service like 2-3 brands. But Dynasys is their bread and butter, mainly on the installs.
When there's a problem? The have a short list of tests. If it don't pass? They don't hesitate to yank it and replace it...especially under warranty! They don't like to spend a lot of time on intensive diagnostics.

The only problems I've had, are with the control panel.

I've been getting told that Boomer's reputation is not as good as many people say. I'm wondering How many people who have had trouble with their Dynasys got theirs installed at Boomer's?

I would put boomer up against anyone. they did mine and no problems 2 years old this month. what I would ask is how many who didn't get theirs at boomer are having problems.

boomers reputation is built upon those who have used them. and the ones who told you that, have they actually used boomers???

cantwell in ft worth is good also.

I have had mine for 2 years just turned 4000 hours, love it. the key is regular maintenance. some guys think you can run it without service. I do my own oil changes and filters changes, I maintain just like I do the truck.

I'm in OKC tonight, have an installation scheduled with Cantwell for Friday. The rep at Cantwell said if it gets done at Boomer they'll eventually see it there to get fixed.

I bought mine at Boomer and have had repairs done at Cantwell.
They're both good but they hate each other....lol

you know I got a perspective on that, I told boomer once that I had warranty work don't at cantwell, the owners reply---- theyre good folks.

that says a lot about boomer diesel. if ya have to cut down the competition to make yourself look good, you aint got much confidence in yourself.

While I have loved mine and had very few problems with it. All where fixed quickly and without question.

It it was warm in south Texas so I turn on the a/c yesterday only to find the a/c isn't working. No big deal find a dealer and get it fixed, it's under warranty. Pulled into the shop in Amarillo today they diagnose a failed condenser and bad Schrader valve. Sorry it's not covered under the warranty. Only major components are covered.

Ok ok that is nowhere in your warranty does it only include major components. Being that I have had quite a few things that wouldn't be considered major components! Just recently the hose that runs from the intake to the air cleaner.

I just might ight have too deal with it I guess

i had my generator belt tensioner replaced on warranty and I wouldn't consider that a major component.
i've lost my 110v power for everything now and tried all of the troubleshooting steps on their list as well as replaced the generator capacitor. I'm off warranty and looking like will have to pay $$$ for a new generator. :(
