I've been quitting smoking for years and finally done it. But I turned this E-cig crutch into a full blown wheelchair!
(Pls don't mis-read what I post below, and think I'm saying this crap is healthy/good for you, or brand bashing/advertising)

I smoke/vap truckstop purchased Metro/Nicotek brand, and has (kind'a/sort of) satisfied my urges, but their cost for 3pck of cartridges @ $10.99 is more than my goal for saving money... and don't belive their claim 1 crtg=2pcks ciggs! <--- maybe true but hasn't been my experience, or blame it on evaporation IDK? So I checked local tobacco shop looking to save 1-2$ no diff in price.
In a very bored situation, waiting at shipper, I decided to open up this cartridge and see how it works. Its super simple, and refillable!!! (MY Ahh-hhA moment) I went back to tobacco shop and got a $6 bottle of "LSmoke" 10ml @ 24mg and refilled every cartridge I had. (cheapest they had to test with)

    Tips for Metro/Nicotek type:
    • Use small eyeglass screwdriver, or dental pick to pry out plastic top through center hole.
    • Pour the juice while holding crtg @ 45 deg angle
    • Rotate crtg while pouring so as to not fill inner straw (it will leak out bottom)
    • When it appears full stop, blow through the crtg. This will help ensure the wick is wet and move the juice down... repeat till wick is soaked to top.
I've so far filled 15 and have enough for a few more @ $5.99 vs $54.94 <--I contend you could double that number to equal $100 because I'm sucking on these for much longer than factory filled.

Best of luck to everyone w/ their nasty habit.

You could just stop buying either real or electronic cigs. Easiest way to stop. :biggrin_2558:

Just like advising fat people to just stop eating. Thanks for the brilliant advice KD.

Dude: congrats on making some headway! That's a great start. Now get a real setup before those one-time-use cartomizers you're fiddling with and refilling eventually wear/foul out and stop working so well. They'll probably go for a couple weeks, so you have some time. When they start fading, then you'll get frustrated.

A relatively inexpensive option would be to get a couple of Joy-E eGo 650 mah usb pass-thru batteries ($22 ea last time I bought them) and a pair or three vivi-nova v2 or 2.5 tanks for it (about $12 for the kit, replaceable atomizer heads are about $1.50 ea and last about 2-4 weeks). Once you have the batteries and kits, all you're buying is the liquid and a couple atomizer heads each month.

Refilling is simple. Unscrew the top, squirt in the liquid, screw the top back on.

The batteries and tanks are good for up to a year or even more with decent care. So it's not like you have to buy all that stuff constantly.

    Good luck!

They say these are worse for you because the microns are smaller and nothing blocks them.

    just roll your own cigs.

    Not really.
I was housesitting for an 84 year old gentleman that had recurring pneumonia, heart problems and on Oxygen 24/7. When he died, his daughter who had hired me to stay with him, made me promise to quit smoking. Alice may be 5' nothing, but nobody argues with her.

I just stopped buying cigs, and eating more veggies.
His bad heart also meant no salt. None. No canned anything. Miserable to try and cook.

    Yes, you can do it.
Besides, I plain cant afford cigs and food.
    I'd rather eat.
    Take care.

ps... my b.f. did the same thing 20 yrs ago
Just stopped buying cigs. Sitting in the truck, just sing or talk to yourself... keeps your mouth busy... :0)

I use the white rhino e-cig. for 17.99 I get enough juice to last an entire month. The cig itself was 40.00. So I figure I save plenty. I like the nicotine as it is a stimulant, and god knows I need that sometimes. Something to think about. You can step down on the strength of the juice too. 24-18-10-0 or some #### like that. I love mine and breath much easier.

Seriously? Where are you even smelling vapor unless you are within five feet of someone blowing plumes from a really good vaporizer?

It's barely detectable and won't even compete with a used up air freshener. If you're smelling anything, it's likely the source is someone who may be using an e-cig but also is still smoking or is always around a smoker. Like a spouse that still smokes. Or driving team with someone that smokes in the truck.
